After a 6 year remission (yes, 6 wonderful pain free years), last week the headaches came back with a vengance.
When I feel a headache comming on I quickly begin a burst of intense exercise... usually a serious of push-ups and then squats. I do as many of each as I can as quickly as I can. After 2 or 3 sets I can feel the headache beginning to supside, and then in 5 minutes or less it's completely gone.
My theory is the increased heart rate and breathing feeds more blood and oxygen to the blood vessels in my head, thereby knocking the headache down.
I'm new to this site as of today and I haven't tried any of the other treatments, i.e. water, ice, oxygen, cold air, etc... They sound like good ideas.
