OK, so I have been reading in your site about cluster
headaches. I have always been diagnosed with migraine,
but a lot of my symptoms seem to be more in line with
cluster headaches. For example, I have the droopy, teary
eye on the side with the headache, the nasal congestion,
and I never throw up, even though I do sometimes get
a little nauseated. Also, I get one or two weeks of
repetitive, fairly short lasting but excrutiating
headaches, and then I won't get anymore for a year to
18 months. However, I have extreme sensitivity to light
and sound and I have never "headbanged". I prefer to go
in my room and moan and roll around on my bed. Oh, and
I'm female. My headaches started when I was 12, I always
figured they coincided with puberty. So, can anyone relate
to my story, or should I look elsewhere? Last time I
had a series of attacks, my doctor said she thought they
might be cluster headaches, but that is as far as I have
gone medically. Oh, btw, Imitrex injectable is the only
thing that has ever helped.
Thanks for letting me run on!
