at the State Hospital Library written in 1984 and I thought I had heard every myth about clusters till I read this:GUN OWNERSHIP: Based upon the bedside observation that hospitalized cluster headache patients were likly to have gun and hunting magazines on their night table and spoke of guns frequently, Spaper et studied a Michigan population. They found that 71% of 77 male and 24% of 24 women cluster patients own guns, which compared to 60% of men and 15% of women in the age-sex matched control group of 62 patients, a difference that reached statistical significance in both groups. Many patients remarked that during bouts of cluster attacks, the guns were removed from the homes by the spouse. Also, it was noted there are more cluster patients with hazel eyes, of course we smoke and drink more alcohol. We also have elevated lipid levels, leonized facial features, ulcer disease, coronary artery disease risk, we are taller than most people, we have more somatic complaints (in other words, we whine more), we are more emotional and we are more prone to have cancer..I was scared to read anymore of the book. smile, nancyc
