The shroom treatment is at it's most effective when no other medications are present in the system. This really means coming off the lithium altogether. There should not be any need to recommence the lithium subsequent to taking the shrooms. The shrooms reset the CH mechanism - take the patient as far from an epsiode as possible. Most other medications taken for CH will inhibit this process, actually counteract the shrooms.
