I've been on 480 (two hits of 240mg. twice a day) for about six weeks.
I have borderline-high blood pressure, so, since verapamil lowers blood
pressure, my doc figures two birds with one med. Because my blood pressure
is fairly high to begin with, sudden movements don't make my head swim. I
am - Thank God!!! - only episodic. However, I've been episodic since 1959
and it wasn't till 1986 that I found a doctor who had a clue. And it wasn't
until this particular episode, now in week twelve, that I've been able to
any relief of any kind, beyond getting wrecked on percocet and begging the
The Demon for mercy. And, of course, there is no mercy. Clusters do break
through, but at an extremely low level, at between 5 and 10 on the normal
headache score. I can usually get through them with Darvocet and/or Perco-
cet.
