I started of with 240mg/day (3X80mg). Kicked in after five days, but still had one or two attacks at night (which was a lot better thent he 8 to 10 I had daily). Dr advised me to take one extra tablet just before bedtime, and eat a little something with it, like a banana. Worked! Just two minor attacks last week, my own mistake, had chinese food with probably a lot of MSG in it.
My doc stressed that it is important to take the tablets during or just after meals or atleast eat something with them(I.m on the normal type, not the slow release).
