I recently started having extremely sharp pains above my right eye in the forehead. Pressure tends to set it off and intensify it. Doctor gave me carbamazepine novo and it takes away the attacks. But my attacks only last 10-20 seconds without medication. Do cluster headaches start out like this and then lengthen in time? Do these stay with you for a lifetime (i,m 42)? Do they shorten your lifespan? If they intensify, how do you hold down a full-time job, or can you draw workers compensation?
