In a book written by Alan Rapoport,MD and Fred Sheftell,MD, both cofounders and codirectors of the New England Center for Headache, Stamford, CN.
they both ascertain that during pregnancy, if medication is necessary, we prefer acetaminophen to aspirin. If more potent medcations are required, acetaminophen with mixed butalbital products (Fioricet) may be permitted for severe pain.
Dr. Rapoport is also Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CN
I will say I DO check my medications and suggested fioricet because it was the only drug mentioned to be safely used during pregnancy. But not abused. Apparently your opinion may differ, however, I was trying to help with what I read to be true. It was only a suggestion, remember? I'd appreciate less harsh attacks when a suggestion may differ from your 'expert' opinion.
