I started with a new doc last week, rather than reinvent the wheel, he started me on something new called Ultram. It is intended for those that suffer from chronic pain. So far, it is helping, the intensity is not as bad as it has been.
When I went to see this new doc, I was in need of something, I have had chronic CH for about ten years, and CH for 22 years. I like to say that I used to get time off for good behavior. I geuss that I have not been very good the last ten years, because I haven't had any time off.
This new drug is much better than the alternative that I was using prior. I had read about how cocaine works to prevent and abort CH, so I decided to try it. Yes, it does get rid of CH, but you need to take more and more of it, and then; without realizing it, you become addicted to a very expensive substance. I almost lost my Wife and my job because of it. When it comes right down to the bottom line (no pun intended) if there is absolutely nothing else, then I would have to go back to the coke, I would rather not have CH than live with them.
For now, I just hope the Ultram works out, if someone has any info/experience with it, let me know.
