i'm in my first cycle ever. started same month as you.
i've read the older you start, the more likely you are to be chronic. that scares me to ... almost to ... death.
nini ... there ARE people who's cycle never ends. Barb D had surgery after 2 years!!
when i read about "hope" springing from the knowledge that "they will end" my heart sinks.
when i read arguments against thoughts of suicide that include "just make it thru the cycle" i cannot identify.
when i read about "living for the kids" ... "the spouse" ... i cannot identify.
i also live alone, don't answer the phone, don't go out, hate staying in, ... those things i identify with.
how can one help but be anxious under those circumstances?
you're not alone.
i live for the belief that we will solve this. we have to. someday, after AIDS and war and race and ethnicity and class and greed are solved ... they'll have time for us.
but for now, all we have is us.
so hang with us. i believe one of us will find the magic bullet. it may be you.
