If I were to go to one of them tent meetings in West Virginia, and other parts, where they're handlin' snakes & preachin the gospel, and came up with a gospel of my own, and proceeded to tell them all they were blind, but I could help them see, they'd be liable to throw those rattlers, moccosins & copperheads at me. In the midst of all the subsequent snakebites, would I just sit there, and let 'em all continue to throw their snakes at me? Duh-uh?! They do it on account of that's what they believe, and far be it for an outsider to come and tell them any different, particularly if that outsider doesn't really belong in the congregation. Man! I just don't get it, unless you're making change from the collection plate.
My dad is a retired Mathematician, and I love him, but I'm not going to the Nobel Laureates and argue why he should get the nobel prize in Math & Physics because of some obscure PhD paper he did on "Li Groups", back in the 50's. He later (30yrs later) explained that his theory was full of holes, but his professors at the time, didn't know much about them either. I don't even know what they are, and he tried to explain it to me, but alas, I'm no mathematician. Seems like I remember a Doc sayin' his treatment wasn't prescribed for clusterheadaches.
Daniel, I respect your perseverence, and I did say I wouldn't blast you any more, and I try to keep my word. I just don't understand why all the antagonism unless nancyc was right about that borderline personality. I would say "I love this neighborhood" but that's already someone else's. I would say "Whatta world" or words to that effect, but that's taken too. Okay, here's one, I can claim. In the words of one of my childhood mentors, Mr. Gomer Pyle "Go-o-olllllll-ly!"
