Here goes nothing -
Cluster is a Hypersensivity to multiple inputs - these inputs vary from patient to patient
Two examples are...
Muscle tension - I've seen hundreds of posts about it
Vascular input - Read Ekbom '96 (if you can't find it I'll organize it for you)

The bite plate doesn't cure clusters - but it does treat the muscle tension component / input - we can prove this with Surface Electromyography which reads the level of tension in the muscles before and after
Dennis Robertson's majour input was muscle tension - if his pain comes back then we start looking for the other inputs
