That headache you are experiencing sounds like what
we refer to as a "shadow", a pain (usually minor) or pressure.
In the area that you get your cluster HAs. These can
last for hours. I often have them when I wake up, and they can last
till noon, or later during the cycle's peak. I find
that Exederin Migraine usually takes care of them.

It just seems odd to me that you've never experienced that
before, I guess everyone's different.

If it's not in the same area that you get cluster, it may
be a different kind of headache. Do you normally
get headaches when you don't sleep right? That would
be my first thought.

As far as other triggers go, avoid MSG. You'll have to
read ingrediant labels closely, as it appears in
many foods. Also foods like bacon and hot dogs which contain
nitrates appear to be triggers.

I find that avoiding triggers makes my headaches
less painful (Kip 7 or 8 max vs. 9 or 10 if I consume
certain triggers) but it doesn't stop them.
