Is also called vicodin or hydracodone. Doctors normally prescribe 5.0 dose. Even for surgery pain. The 7.5 is extra strength or at least that is what my dr. calls it. I have found the 7.5 to work where the lower dose is effective for shadows and low level pain. Sometimes it will get rid of a bad one but most often not. I have switched to stadol ns. I find that will kick but on most all occassions needed.
