My husband is a chronic cluster migraine sufferer. He has had them for the past 24 years (is currently 37 years old). He currently takes 1200 mg of Verapamil daily; 50 mg of Zoloft daily; 200 mg of Topomax daily. The doctor just recently put him on the Topomax and took him off Sansert. He does not feel the Topomax is doing any good. It makes him feel very sick at his stomach and gives him bad heartburn. Has anyone had very much luck with this medicine? He has been on it for 4 weeks now. When headaches occur, Imitrex injections are the only thing that make them go away. We have been through about 25 shots during the past month. We don't know what else to try. Any suggestions???
