well done - first introduce yourself and then join the forum. I do not know if a poll has been made of the ratio chronic to episodal.
Chronic relates to continuous with little or no remissions. Episodal is the term used for CH that come for several weeks - go for periods ranging from months to a few years. The mildness you refer to must be treated with caution - as lurking around the corner is the CH that makes it the demon it is. If you read further - you will come across others that are into their 70's (bill and others) - so this beast is not limited to 40's and under - what you will notice is once you think you have it beaten - he comes back and your trusted medication suddenly does not help as it used to and the search starts again. It has (CH) the same name - but is very individual - from the "classical textbook cases" to very complex. Episodals may become chronic. Remissions may come. The pain may lessen - but there are too many "mays". So - sorry - but join the club.
