I think my clusters are a result of weather changes. My friends joke I am like a weather balloon (in a nice way of course) "call jeanine to find out what the weather is going to be". Pay attention to the dropping barometric pressures and dramatic wind changes, I believe those are my triggers. El Nino was not my friend last year. My sister has problems with rain, and she associates it with mold as well. The continual, annoying, pain you are talking about has become a part of my daily life since my first cluster... it is almost like a swollen sinus feeling. Sometimes, Tylenol Sinus works for me with those types of headaches.
good luck.. I am in search of a good neuro myself in the bay area, my last one didn't give a *&^%$ about my pain.. you should look for a headache clinic.. i am sure there has to be a good one in LA>
