What Todd suggested is excellent. I got to ask what do you do? I am a manager at a software company and could care less if my staff comes in 5 minutes late. 5 hours yes.....What do I care about? Is the job being done! That is it end of story. I would confide in your boss. If one of my good people came to me and said "for the next few weeks I maybe a few minutes late and maybe a little out of it. Please bear with me while I get through this crisis", I would have absolutely no problem with it (wether it has to do with illness or just general family or personal lunacy). This is what I told my controller and CFO today and they were very supportive.
