My CHs started when I was 14. (Diagnosed as achemmmm... female type migraines if you know what I mean) I used to get them in clusters that would last for about two weeks and then go away for 2 or 3 months and then return. As I have gotten older they have gotten further and further apart my last attack was 3.5 YEARS ago but started again two nights ago. Be advised however that as my between cluster time has gotten longer so has my in the ZONE time. Last time it was eight weeks.
Went to the doc today as it had beens sometime and I had no meds. He gave me verapamil 180 mg twice a day, to be taken with2 mg of Sansert 3 times aday (though the pharmacy was out and I have to wait for monday for that). I also got a few day prescrip for Vicadin as I get one big 3 hour headache every night. So something that may take longer but really kills the pain for awhile is a must.
