Trouble is cluster headaches are neurovascular headaches. Research shows that the dialation of the blood vessels may be secondary to the pain. In other words, the pain may come first (in the trigeminal nerve path) and the pain causes the vasso dialation. If this is the case, the operation may not be completely successful.
