I just cannot understand it. It shows how little the
general medical community knows about CHs and what
we experiencers go through. I've had CH going back
25 years. But I've know about and used O2 for nearly
20 years. So when this current cluster came around,
I set in motion the steps needed to obtain pre-
authorization from the insurance company for medical
O2. What happens? They say NO!, they've never heard
of treating headaches with oxygen. THEY ARE RETARDS,
and their dumbness is at our expense on the pain and
misery scales. My HMO reacted the same way I did, and
let them know it. The letter I got said they had
obtained "new information" and that they would now
authorize the O2. GEEZ-AW-MIGHTY. What I've learned
time and again from undergoing the most severe
sustainable pain endurable by a human being is that
the people in the medical industry are *just people*
and not gods and if your current medicos are out of
kilter with your needs, both physically and emotionally,
find new ones!
