I have been wondering what causes low white count. I recently had a blood test and was found to have a low white count. Many years ago, (13 to be exact) after having the flu I had blood work done and found that I had a very low white count. My doctors at the time were not concerned because I have always had allergies and sinus condition. Then about five years ago when I was taking Tavist-D for six years my white count was low again, but after I went off the decongestant my white count returned to normal. Now it is ago low after being on Zrytec for a short period. Could decongestants cause low white count?
