It is more likely that your headaches might have started sooner than that if you HADN'T had that one trip... it may have actually delayed the onset by several months.
The vast majority of clusterheads have never taken hallucinogens. The vast majority of those who have taken hallucinogens are not clusterheads. The timing in your case was coincidental.
The gentleman who first brought this therapy to our attention, Flash, suffered from CH long before he ever tried LSD. He did LSD for a few years, then stopped. It was only once his headaches returned that he realized that the period when he was taking LSD was completely pain free.
Over the next several years he experimented with LSD and eventually psilocybin mushrooms, and found that if he took a small dose every six months he remained headache-free. If he took none at all, his headaches would return about a year after last dose.
Hallucinogens don't CAUSE cluster headaches. They stop them.
