I'm somewhat new to this board but I think I may be able to offer something to some of the other new people. Most of it is the traditional medications that most of you are aware of.
After about 5 years of being diagnosed with a sinus infection, a neurologist diagnosed me with CH. If any of you have not seen a neuro yet, DO IT NOW! It could only help.
I was taking predisone which broke the cylce pretty good. I am also taking verapimil which is working. The imitrex injections are amazing. Only had to use 2 in the last 2 weeks though.
I am also sleeping with an air purifier and with 2 bricks elevating the head of my bed. Not sure if this is helping but I am going to stick with it. I'm not a practicing catholic but I also have started praying alot more, hoping for a cure for all of us. You never know.
I have only had 3 attacks since seeing the neuro 2 weeks ago. I still get the shadows sometimes but thats not too much to complain about. And i do live in fear about becoming chronic. I feel terrible for those of you who go through this every single day. However, I now think I can lead a normal life with the right medication and a good neuro. Hope some of this could help and offer hope to some of you. I wish all of you pain free lives.
