Yes I have tried imitrex and O2 (I had a tank for several months, lithium, I used verapamil, Depakote, DHE, Sansert, nad had some relief with them. Usually after 3-4 months they became ineffective and I would go off them for a while and then try again. I refused to use narcotics. I thought that I would turn into a junkie and go nuts if I did. Besides if I were a MAN I could go without. Well what kind of man was I if I didn't try everything possible for the sake of my children and wife as they were also affected by this disease. They will attest that I am not only the same dad they use to have but even better. The things i have learned about patients and not judging others and just plain what really is important in this life have been worth the pain I suffer. Just being able to go to the store with my wife and not be hauled home moanung and bent over is a treat. For me now just hanging out with my wife at all is as fun as sking fishing or all the things I couldn't live without before. Life is great and what a life we,ve had. Just waking up with no pain is something I don't take for granted anymore! And I find that when someone else complains about a tension headache or something like that I don't think "What a wimp If they only knew what pain is!" I figure that someone elses worst pain to them is just as bad as mine and I feel empathy for my wife or children if the are at all miserable. Thanks Mike L
