Dear Headache Sufferer,
The National Headache Foundation has extended the deadline for entries to
the Migraine Masterpieces art contest to May 10, 2001. As you may have
heard, the contest is a call for professional and amateur artists who are
diagnosed migraine sufferers to depict their world when dealing with a
migraine. The contest is designed to publicize the diminished quality of
life migraine headache sufferers experience due to pain and associated
symptoms.
The contest is open to diagnosed migraine sufferers nationwide and will have
three top winners and 22 merit awards. The first prize is $4,000, second
prize is $2,000, third prize is $1,000 and each merit award is $100. All
winners will have their work displayed at the Migraine Masterpieces art
exhibit, on June 6th during National Headache Awareness Week. They will
also receive a certificate of excellence and have photos of their work
distributed to news media nationwide. The top three winners will receive
round-trip airfare and accommodations to attend the opening of the art
exhibit in Chicago. Attached please find the contest rules and entry form.
But don't wait too long -- entries are accepted only until May 10, 2001!
You're not alone! And you shouldn't struggle with migraines alone. Find
