Everyone seems to be different when it comes to their CH's....it seems to be a very personal thing. All I can tell you is that I cannot drink at all....even when I am completely out of a cycle, if I have one drink, I get that shadowy feeling in my right temple. Also, I just quit smoking recently ( 3-12-01 ); however, when daylight savings came, so did my new cycle...BUT the ha's this time are not as severe as they have been since 1987. So maybe not smoking has helped. A curious thing, though....when I used to have really bad ch's ( you know, a 9 or 10 ), I would get a cup of strong coffee, and go out on the lanai (Florida, for back porch), and sit in a chair rocking back and forth, and SMOKING a cigarette. The cigarette, as we know, makes your arteries constrict, and weird, but mostly true, the smoking would make me feel better sooner.
So, I don't really know anymore...I would say stick with what works, as long as it cant hurt you. Good Luck! *Jeanie*
