I'm new to this board and to clusters. I started
with the ice thing which helped when the CH's
were rather mild. As they got worse and worse I
found that an ice cube rubbed around the right
side of my face worked sometimes but usually, the
only thing that works on the bad ones is using a
cup of hot water and pressing and rolling it
around my face, forehead, jaw and neck. Warm water
doesn't work. It has to be as hot as you can
stand it. CH's make my upper jaw feel like an
abscess tooth and sometimes that is the last area
for the pain to leave. Even while using the hot
water, I will chew on ice chips for the jaw pain.
Sure is some crazy stuff this cluster stuff. I'm
only glad I didn't get it until my 50's and my
kids were grown. Feel sorry for those of you who
have had it for most of you adult life.
I'm hoping my bought is about over. I have gone
from several a night and about four during the day
to only one or two per day since Sunday night.
We will have a full house next week as we will
three grand kid from 2mo to 3yrs old, 2 labs, two
kids and their spouses living with us. Also a
daughter and her boyfriend for the weekend.
Need any more incentive to get over one of these?
