Hi, This is my second post on this board and I'm looking for some advice on Imitrex. Today I went to my Doc. (just a regular, not a neuro, as with my school and work schedule it would be too time consuming) with the intention of getting Imitrex pills. I get both Clusters and Migranes so I was hoping to get enough for both, as I am in a cycle right now, and need it. Well my Doctor gave me a prescription for 20 with 10 refills. It turns out my insurance will only provide for 9 at a time, and its like $400 for me to buy the 20 myself, too much for a student like myself.
So I took the 9, only problem is that there 50mg. each. This seems kinda weak to me. Can this help me at all? Please any replies would be appreciated. Also, should I have gone for the Verapimil? I took it last time and it made me feel like a Zombie, but I think it got me through the cycle. Oh yeah my headaches happen during the day, and they take me away from my School, friends, family, and Work. In fact during my last cycle I was close to losing my job. Sucks!
