I read in the 8th Int. Headache Research Seminar
in 1999 that the reason for CH is probably a disorder
of the CNS (central nervous system) coupled with a
dysfunction of the Hypothalamus (unsynchronisized
biological clocks; trigger for the pain) and the
secondary effect of vascular dilatation which produces
the pain.
A CNS disturbance would explain the sweating. Isn't it
responsible for this behaviour, too? I think this is an
additional indication to the CNS disorder theory.
