I have had episodic clusters for 28 years. I am 48. Verapamil works real well for me. I suggest you give it more of a chance - talk to your Doc about dosage and maybe cahnging the type - they have a long lasting version out now that might help you. I consider verapamil to be the best of all the cluster treatments in that it is preventative and there are little or no short term or long term side effects. Good luck.
