Hope it works for you Jeff - One of the benefits for me was that when I only had two shots/day, I would wait until the pain became unbearable before injecting because I didnt want to waste the precious substance on a false alarm(Which occurs often for me). When the clusters are in their cyclic peak I found that the smaller shots did not last as long but I did get a lot more pain-free hours/day overall. I also use Fortral injections(IM,60mg)at night if I run out of Imigran. This narcotic only takes the edge off the pain, but I found that it facilitates sleep, and also produces a hangover effect the next day similar to alcohol. I have found that if I can generate a hangover, either by drugs or alcohol, that clusters dont occur (or at least they are less frequent and less severe) the following day. Its like I'm swapping one kind of headache for another, but we both know which we would rather have. This phenomenon is one of the few that have stayed consistent thru the 9 years I have been dealing with CH. I am curious to know if you or anyone else has observed this hangover effect.
