70 days ago, I suffered a severe injury to my ear. It was struck with an open hand. After all the swelling cleared I saw an ENT who saw the perforation. Now it turns out I have eustachian tube dysfunction as well. Although the ear drum is mended, my ear still pops. Obviously something else is damaged. Don't wait and hope for this to go away. Go see an ENT. If he down plays your suffering get a second opinion. See as many doctors as you need and emphasize how much it's bothering you. Nobody deserves to suffer like this! Two years ago, I had another serious, but less annoying condition. The one specialist I saw took close to a year to determine I needed a basic surgery. A whole year of my life, I endured this discomfort before getting the proper treatment. One suggestion I have is to use Dimetapp Daytime Cold. My ENT recommended it and it does seem to sharply reduce the ammount of times my ear acts up. Dimetapp alone is only a temporary solution. Sometimes, I have found that being upright for a long time may help a little. Light exercise amasingly seems to lessen the popping as well. Maybe it clears the eustachian tube. Try and hang in there and don't let any doctor put false ideas in your head that this is minor and tolerable.
