All very good points, and good ideas. What I'm in the process of doing right now is gathering info, as hard as that is, so I can put together an information packet that will provide both doctors and parents with some sort of plan to combat this affliction. It is very hard to come up with this based on the info available on the web. My main questions are:
a) Can kids tolerate the meds that we, as adults, have found to be effective.
b) Because of the nature of this disease, getting worse with age, are kids that are going through this only going through it for a couple of days, or a week or what?
c) If they do have cycles like adults, we need to provide an information packet that informs their schools, their doctors, their parents, and their families as to what they are going through, in order to provide an accurate assessment and treatment options.
An information packet is the goal here, but where I am having trouble is getting information. I'm working on it everyday, and I'm making a little progress, but I'd be lying if I said I couldn't use some help. Posts like yours, and some others I've gotten have already helped, I just want them to keep coming. After all, this is a team effort, right? Thanks again annemarie.
Take Care,
Joe
