I started giving my husband Amerge, 2 Advil Migraine, and an Indocin, along with Melatonin 3 mg at bedtime. Also put an icepack on neck. He has been getting about 6-8 hrs sleep, with a few shadows that wake him up. If he has a headbanger during the nite, we use Imitrix injections. Doc said it would not work with the Amerge, because you take the Amerge when you know a h/a is coming on. Well, Doc, we know that one will come on about the time he gets into REM sleep, and if he wakes ups and has to go thru the ch, then REM sleep occurs again after finally going back to sleep..and then the cycle starts all over. He said Amerge is used a lot for women that have menstral migraines, and they know when the h/a will occur, so they take it for 5 days before their cycle begins...so what is the difference. BTW..looking for new Doc
