You taught your daughter a lesson about taking reponsibility that she'll probably never learn in school--even though it was an expensive one! Lee told me a story the other night about a father and son who came into the restaurant where he works. They ordered a variety of food and proceeded to complain about almost everything they ate (after it was nearly gone, of course). Believing in making the customer happy, Lee reduced their check to compensate for the food they felt was not up to par. As Lee stood near the table where they were sitting, he heard the father tell the son (12-13 years old), "see, that's how you go about getting free food in a restaurant". Of course, Lee couldn't resist letting the father know he was overheard and said as he passed by the table, "but it only works once"! Great lessons this guy is teaching his child! Well, that's the bad parenting story of the day. On the other hand, the story Margi shared was pretty funny (and tempting)!
