Dear gary, I am new to this site but I am appauled at the treatment you have received. You need to find another doctor who is more willing to be educated by you and to be more open to consider another diagnosis beside migraine. Did I understand you right that she thinks you do not have cluster headaches or she dosen't even know what that means? Time to get a new doctor. You need help and she does not sound like she will ever help you. Is it an option for you to get a different MD? Also along the the response before mine, I know that if you present to the emergency room stating you have a specific plan for sucide they take you very seriously. IF you say I thinking about it but then when they ask you questions about how and when and you have no plan they will send you home but if you have a plan (method, time etc.) they take you very seriously. They also may put you in a locked facility for treatment temporarily but you will get to talk to a professional. You sound quite desperate and understadably so. NOw this all applies to california and I think the USA but you mentioned your passport so if you are in a different country I am not sure how all that works. Hope this might help you sort out your options.
