I am wondering if anyone knows anything about mercury and cluster headache. A friend was recently diagnosed with a high mercury level in his blood because of "silver" fillings in his teeth. Turns out that mercury is in all silver fillings, and can cause thyroid and testosterone problems, which both of us have. Plus, I have 3 times as many fillings as my friend. (He doesn't have cluster). But it occurs to me that my clusters started after I got a lot of fillings. So, I'm trying to get my doctor to give me a mercury test.
Of course, most dentists think there is no problem with the mercury in fillings, but others are making a mint off removing and replacing with non-mercury fillings. The health establishment says silver fillings are fine, and my friend must have gotten the mercury poisoning from other sources. But where? And the State Health Dept. has assigned someone to track his case, cause mercury is so dangerous.
If you have any info about cluster and mercury, I'd appreciate it.
