I have suffered with migraines for 13 years now. They have become an integral part of my life. I have spent much time learning about migraines, their causes/triggers, prevention, treatment, etc.
Recently, a very good friend of mine has started to have horrible headaches that last anywhere from 2 minutes to an hour. They have been occuring for the last three months. He has passed out from them, had blurred vision, nausea, runny nose, and a myriad of other symptoms with the pain. He has been taken to the emergency room and seen many doctors. They all say they don't know what they are. I beleive he amy be suffering from clusters. I haven't done much research on them, so I don't know if I am right.
If anyone can tell me if these symptoms sound familiar and if so what are they indicative of; I would be grateful. I am very concerned for him. His doctor doesn't seem to think any further testing is necessary and has prescribed Verapamil and Tylenol w/codeine. These both make him extremely sick.
Thank you for your suggestions and concern.
