Since you have just been diagnosed you have a foundation now that you can start working on.
02 works for me to stop the cluster headache most of the time.Its a tempory solution, however during an episode pain management is the name of the game. It really sounds bad. If you have the time and resources a good headache clinic might be something to look into as " Wood" down the page suggested. I've never used Imitrex but it seems to be a lifesaver for a lot of the choosen.
You hang in there and utilize wisely all of your resources available, look over all of the sight that DJ has created and print out any info that you think might help you, and question your neuro!
Sounds like your neurologist is really trying though.
