WOW!!!
I can even say it backwards - WOW!!!
We had a great turnout, and it went ten times better than I could have ever hoped for. It was incredible. The response we got from the audience... all I can say is right now I feel high as a freakin' skyscraper with bright shiny flashing lights on the metal.
We did the song I posted here a few days ago "The Speed of Pain" and while I was singing in a very gothic sounding deep voice "Hope...that we die...holding hands...for always" I looked out and there was a girl crying. I flipped. After the show, we got the full on star treatment. It totally rocked!!!
The only downside of the whole night was, I ate 7 Tylenol an hour before the show, and about an hour after the show - I threw up blood (Yay!!!) Didn't put a damper on my mood one bit though. I just wish this night didn't have to end. We were offered more gigs from tonight, and gave out autographs and such. My cousin even tripped out on the show. Needless to say, I am on cloud 9. It looks like "Twin Rivers" is a hit.
The only thing that would make this night any better is if I can go to sleep without an attack. That would be just too much. I might even start feeling human again. The most important thing is, I did not get hit with an attack during or after the gig. I am totally exhausted though. That took alot out of me. It gave me something in return though. Something I have not had in a long time. It let me know that, in spite of my situation and the CH's, I can still accomplish something. I can still work a crowd. I can still get an audience going. I can still perform.
The best compliment I got all night was, "Man, that was more powerful than most big bands. It was totally electrifying."
After tonight though, I will have to keep my head away from sharp objects for a few days, as to not pop it's over-inflation.
I feel better than I have in a loooooong time. Feels good to know I can still rock. Weeeeeeeeee.
