Sure can relate to your frustration with the medical community. Keep looking; there are good, compassionate doctors out there that care and are knowledgeable.
I think a lot of doctors are frustrated and demoralized because of the circumstances in which they are forced to work these days. Insurance companies are at the top of my personal shit list right now.
You might see about Maxalt MLT. I have found it to work much faster than the Imitrex nasal spray. You will want the 10mg strength. Ask your doctor for some samples of these. If you don't like or can't use the injections, these melt-in-your-mouth tabs are pretty good. In fact, I believe the residual preventative effect is much better (fewer new HA's within a few hours of taking a dose).
