If you have a sane moment (I know it is difficult) take the time to print out all the medical info under the buttons top left on this page. Take all that paper work to your doctor. And if s/he is stubborn, do what Peter says and change docs if you can. Check out the O.U.C.H. page (button left) for a doc in your area who understands.
Check out the imitrex tip on the left, to get more mileage out of your imitrex jabs than most docs/insurance companies allow.
