Hey friend,
I'm a 51 year old male who has dealt with CH since
age 10. I didn't know what it was back then, and
only once during my adolescense, did I ever hear
one of my doctors mention Cluster headaches. From
there it went on and on each cycle of every two to
three years with a break, but always, back they
came, and me, with a new physician each time. All
through school, twenty-five years in the military,
numerious overseas assignemnts, many doctors, many
diagnosis, many guesses, many put-downs, and many
unforgiving years of suffering. In answer to your
question about Migranal; I just recently started
using it because the product I used three years ago
was off the market when my episodes started up
again. To be absolutely truthful, nothing has ever
prevented my headaches, only temportary relief is
what I can attribute Migranal, Oxygen, Ergotomine,
and the many other products shoved to us by our
wise and learned physicians. My advice to you, and
all our fellow sufferers; If it stops the pain,
take it. Deal with the next attack later. Whatever
works for you, even for a short time, "Do It!"
We will never be cured of this, so take relief
where you find it. (I am hopeful that as I age,
the recurrences will start to decline) In the
interim, I now take Migranal during the week at
work, I rely on my Oxygen at home and during the
night, (3 to 4 wake-ups each night) in addition
to 3 to 4 daily episodes at the office.)
So Pal, take the damn stuff, if it doesn't work
jump on the doc's chest to find something else.
Something will relieve the pain; that's all I live
for now is "Not having the pain" for a day, a week,
a month, and I rejoice in my two to three years
of remission, because I know when they return, I'm
in for a couple of months of hell, with occassional
relief with the meds I used before. And finally, I thank
you and all the other CH'ers here on this net. I love you
all, and One day, this will over (Death!), but for now
I still say: Take your relief where you find it.
"Take the Migranal!"
"Mr. Bill"
