The drug companys would come around and give out free samples, and give the Doc. information about the drug. They work the same way with human Doctors. If it was a Drug the Doctor used, they sometimes would run a sale. Like for example HeartGard for Dogs, If they bought 100 boxes before June they would get it at a reduced price, and 30 60 90 to pay it in. The drug company sales to the drug store instead of the doctors in humans. I am sure they get deals on Imitrx in viles(sp) that they give us when we show up at their office with a cluster that won't stop. You can believe that visit going to cost you a $160
I think the Drug companys do the same thing to Drug Stores. Believe me, they don't pass that deal on to us.
Just like the vets. If the drug cost them $12 a box. The pet owners were charged $35 ! If it cost the vet $7 a box. The pet owners were still charged $35 a box.I know this cause I was the one who ordered the drugs each month. I never saw a reduce in price for the pet owner. The same Drug company that makes drugs for animals make drugs for humans.
The people who make on the drugs are the Drug companys, and Drug stores not the Doctors. Doctors hate the high cost cause there are certain drugs they have to keep in stock. The more the drug cost the, less the Doctor makes.
