Johnathan Harker was an broker who visited the count in Transylvania and wound up fodder for him and in the booby hatch eating spiders. Renfield about the same (Arte Johnson was hilarious as Renfield in the Dracula spoof some years ago as Dracula's servant). Van Helsing is the Dutch Dr. who discovered what Dracula really was when he visited London. In the book (which is very good by the way, written in 1897) there are lots of other people chasing Dracula--one a cowboy!
Make sure you have a stake and crucifix handy.....
