Glad to hear you found something that might work as a preventative for ya. The Verapamil helps alot of us, and it really seems that it does its best work in conjunction with other drugs like prednisone and lithium. Posts like yours are what helps get experiences across to the whole board. Now when a newbie reads it, they take the info to their doc and say, let's try this or that, and hopefully makes a little bit of a difference.
