Hello all,
Been quite a while since I posted here. My beast still rages on, and I have now been officially classified as chronic. It has been a full 17 months that the beast has been here without a break, and I have gone through four neurologists, several medications, and god only knows how many trips to the ER. Currently, my neuro is Dr. Neil Raskin at UCSF in San Francisco, and he has been overall the best neuro I have ever been to. (Fired one because of her office staff, another because they told me they didn't trust me to follow their orders on meds.) After talking with Raskin, we have decided to move forward with the gamma knife procedure to try and get me some relief before I take out that nerve the hard way. Can anybody who has had gamma knife done either post or e-mail me? I'm nervous about it (it's neurosurgery, what's not to be nervous about), probably because I don't know a lot about the procedure. I want to know what will be done for this, before, during, and after. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Todd Owen
