My experience is very simialr to yours in that this cycle started on december 14th and is still going, but it has lost alot of strength, down to one attack every couple of days. That's down from 4-6 during its peak. As far as the Verap, I was taking 240mg/day before the cycle hit. My nuero increased it to 480mg/day about half way through the cycle. 480mg is considered the max dosage. Many of us here are at a higher dose, I'm now at 840mg/day and some others have gone to 960mg/day with good success. My nuero is willing to go all the way to 1100mg/day if need be.
The only thing I have to do is get an EKG once a week to monitor the heart and make sure it's not doing any serious damage. EKG is simple and absolutely pain free in case you've never had one. Takes all of 5 minutes. Just be careful upping the dosage on your own, I find that having a good honest relationship with your doc goes a long way. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
