Alcohol CH and Shadows

I know that alcohol can set of a CH during certain periods such as before and during the peak of the cycle. My question is, does anyone know if it will provoke a CH when most of the cycle is over, only small shadows left? I know that I am robably better of not drinking but darn I need a beer pretty bad.
